After a brief conversation and digital consultation, we’ll present a custom lighting design for you to review and approve. The lights we use are commercial-grade (the same kind featured at Phipps Conservatory and other public displays), and the entire installation process typically takes less than one day.
We focus on high-visibility areas like rooftops, driveways, walkways, main entrances, and chimneys—where lighting has the most dramatic impact. Our team is fully insured, highly trained, and experienced with roof work, so you can expect a clean, safe installation with a professional touch. And come January, we return to take everything down.

Our lights are not customer-owned—we retain and store them for optimal performance year after year. This ensures the highest-quality displays without the clutter, storage headaches, or damaged strands you get with DIY.
Our pricing model is intentionally flexible to reflect the unique nature of every installation. Since no two homes are alike in size, layout, or lighting preferences, we don’t offer generic packages. Instead, after a brief consultation, we create a custom design and provide a personalized quote. Pricing factors include the linear footage of your roof, number of stories, roof pitch, and whether you want to add lighting for driveways, walkways, or landscaping. Most first-year packages begin at $1,500, with pricing scaling based on complexity and scope.
To reserve your installation, we require a 50% deposit. We only accept a limited number of clients each season due to the narrow November installation window—after fall cleanup but before the first snowfall. Priority scheduling is given to returning customers and those who book early. For new customers who confirm by October 1st, we offer a 15% early booking discount—as long as the deposit is paid and the date is locked in.
We value long-term relationships and reward them accordingly. Customers who return for a second season with the same or expanded display receive a 20% discount on the previous year’s price. In year three and beyond, that discount increases to 25%, reflecting the reduced setup cost from reusing your custom design and existing lighting. All lights remain the property of MAT Lighting and are stored in our temperature-controlled facility to ensure peak performance year after year.
Multi-year lighting clients also receive a complimentary year of MAT Roofing’s Redd Up Your Roof program—a $299 value. This includes a professional roof cleaning, a full inspection, and minor repairs to fix any issues we find.
